Sugar Free Cream Cheese Frosting with Stevia

Filed under: Dessert — Cathy @ 10:31 AM

PB070235A sugar free cream cheese frosting sweetened with stevia and vanilla.  Use this as a sugar free alternative in your baked goods.

Stevia can add a bitter flavor, so experiment with using the least amount of sweetness you can tolerate for the best results.

Ingredients:
PB070227 4 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp butter
PB070228 4 packets of Truvia

or about 1 teaspoon of loose stevia.

PB070232 Couple drops of vanilla.
Preparation:
PB070229 Add cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl.  Bring to room temperature before mixing.
PB070231 Using a hand held mixer, whip the cream cheese and butter together.
PB070233 Add stevia and a couple drops of vanilla.  Mix together until whipped.

Add a little stevia at a time and taste to avoid bitterness.

PB070235 Spoon into a bowl until use.

Refrigerate unused portion.  Bring to room temperature before spreading on baked goods.

PB070238 Spread on dessert and enjoy!
